Crimson Creations- Chapter 2

She held him there a moment, trying to drive her point, emotional stance, and possibly other things into Toshiro's mind- before deciding to relent. Vendetta let her hand settle back, leaving Toshiro to take a look around, composing himself. Almost as if the moment never happened. Though she acted unfazed, the moment left her veins ignited. Her intuition pulling her toward him strongly- extremely so. Vendetta tried to push it aside, but it refused to be ignored. Intuition also told her, Toshiro felt the same ignition in his veins.

Sighing softly, a small shake of her glossy raven locks changed the tone to wistful for a moment, before the smile returned- switching back to business. "As a matter of fact, I have come seeking some new supplies. I've heard you specialize in the... shall we say, 'exotic' trade?"

He had no idea how to react to such a flip, so decided to carry on, but kept that moment firmly in his mind...

"Ah yes, Crimson Creations came to be in the hopes of providing 'eccentric' goods, in order to enhance the depth of one's art. Mundane implements can certainly create beautiful works of art, but delving into the more 'exotic' can truly bring a work of art to life." Certainly sounding like a salesman, yet his passion shone through. Not one to sell anything that didn't meet his rigid standards, Toshiro took pride in contributing to the art world in his own way. He chanced looking at her once more- and she smiled in kind.

"Was there anything in particular you had in mind? If by chance I don't have it on hand, I can certainly obtain it for you. Or, if you'd rather browse, I can step aside and leave you to it."

Ah. There was the Toshiro Vendetta heard of- passionate, enthusiastic. She procured a small, black leather-bound book- and opened it to a list. "Actually, I have a list, and an extensive one at that- here, come take a look." She handed over the book, so he could see what she sought.

Immediately, he noticed her writing was beautiful- reminiscent of the writing of artists from his home, Japan... yet holding some of the elegant Venetian curves known to him now. Pulling his mind back to the moment, his eyes scanned the list:

~ A brush set, made from either Ebony or Pink Ivory wood- made with red sable hair

~ Jewel-toned paints, from actual crushed jewels

~ The Vanta collection- All Colours, Glow, Pearlscent, Neon, Mattify, Glitter and Holographic

~ Glow pigments, preferably bio-luminescent, as many colours as he had

~ Blood Inks- Dragon [all colour variants], Seelie/Unseelie Fae, Golden and Silver Angel, any Demonic

~ Phoenix Feather Quills- any and all colours

~ Silk-spun canvases, the finer the better

~ Any and all pigments from flora and spices he had

Rarest, and near-impossible to find... If he could ever find one, the Vampyre's Obsidian Collection. An extensive collection of tools made from a highly-coveted vampyric artist, and a special purple-touched obsidian, infused with his artistic magicks. Rumour had it only ten had ever been created, and virtually all sets were lost to time or in the hands of collectors... Even for Vendetta, it proved elusive and expensive.

"Anything you happen to have would be lovely... anything you can order is also fine. Though I must confess, I can't find the last one." A sigh escaped her lips. Futile effort- but she had to try. If someone acquired this coveted collection for the Lady, one could be left to fantasize, the things they could ask of this highly desirable artist and woman... The things she could create, if she could ever find one... If anyone could find one for, however, it was Toshiro.

Nodding, he struggled to ignore his own intuition- which was pulling him down some insane directions... Toshiro made note of it all, before making his way around the store. Elegant yet swift, he made short work of her seemingly-impossible list. Soon enough, his counter was filled with goodies- both sets of brushes, made from the finest wood and hair... A wide collection of paints, pigments and inks... A shocking rainbow of phoenix feather quills- including a rare Shadow Phoenix and Cryophoenix feather. A stack of canvases, multitudes of sizes... Almost dancing along the shelves as he went back and forth, he was all business- mentally checking the entries off, bringing each item to the counter. For the most part, Vendetta observed in amused and delighted silence.

Finishing up, he handed the book back to Vendetta, bowing his head politely. "I'll have to order a few things you had on your list- namely, the Holographic Vanta Paint, and both the Silver and Golden Angel inks. As for your last entry, I'm afraid I don't have that at the store... nor do I have anyone I can acquire such a rarity from..."

"I understand, thank you all the same though. Likely I will never possess it." Vendetta bowed softly.

Despite the smile on her face, disappointment crossed her features. Vendetta expected that- but she'd been hopeful all the same. Sending her sadness, Toshiro made an emotional- and downright insane- impulse decision. Something about her really drew him... Intuition pulled him down this path- at this point, he decided not to fight it any longer. Her sadness pulled his heart strings, in ways nothing else had. "However... it is fortunate that I'm here today."

Vendetta looked up, gently perplexed- and he pressed the chance he had. "...Years ago, I came across one of the Vampyre's Obsidian collection- intact, untouched. Even though it cost a fortune, I couldn't pass up the only opportunity I'd ever have to acquire it... Knowing it would be going to a worthy artist... I think I could bear to part with it."
